    Joomla Template Help

    Have had Joomla 1.5.18 installed, I'm very new to Joomla and am playing around at the moment.
    I've installed the ver2 template but when I view all I get is a blank page that displays:

    PHP Notice: Undefined variable: mosConfig_sitename in D:\InetPub\Norfolk Scouts CMS\templates\sescotlandscouts152\index.php on line 32

    Does anyone know where I've gone wrong, as my other templates I've tested all work ok.

    Simon.

    As the server isn't managed by me, I have no idea! How would I find out?

    The configuration is a file that sits on the server, but can also be accessed via the back end of joomla

    I had this problem with the template too.

    Notice: Undefined variable: mosConfig_sitename'

    If you can are OK to edit the file yourself go to line 32 and try changing:

    <?php echo $mosConfig_sitename; ?>
    to:
    <?php echo $mainframe->getCfg('sitename');?>

    Its only looking for the site name in the Global Configuration under site settings.

    I'd try entering that first, its going to be easier than editing the theme.

    Its something I'll look at changing on the official download.

    Hi,

    Hopefully a quick question please

    I'm re-doing a guide campsite in joomla to allow non-IT types to update it , the prototype is here : http://joomla.chigwellrow.org.uk/ (only first couple of menu items work at the moment)

    I also host (but have not a lot to do with the layout of) http://www.3rdupminsterscouts.org.uk/ which is a joomla site but a very basic look

    Can you please confirm that it is OK to use the escouts template for both of these - I can't find any licence information or restrictions so am I free to generally do as I please, remove the "based on a template by joomlashack" footer line etc or are there some restrictions I should comply by.

    Always happy to credit where credit is due, but would rather it on an "info" type page than on every page of the site if possible

    Thanks

    -Steve

    It doesn't sound like thats a problem - it s the way joomla does it.

    You create your article and assign it to a menu item for which you have to input a title.

    Could we have a url to see what's going on?
