    More information

I can confirm the Camp will be at Consall Scout Camp and I have provisionally booked the Clifton Building for the weekend (if you want to camp you still will be able to)

If you are planning to come please can you forward to me a deposit of £10.00 before 12th February to book your place. Cheques payable to D Field and PM me for my address.

The cost of the camp will be £50.00 to include all food and accommodation only (we will be cooking on site) excluding Friday evening when due to people arriving at different times we will convene to a local hostelry. The entrance fee for Alton Towers will be extra.

Saturday we will be going to Alton Towers so that is a whole day trip. Maybe a camp fire in the evening (if we prise the techno geeks away from their whatever phone they have at the time!!)

Sunday..open to suggestions if any one has a brain wave ?

Does the £50 fee include or exclude the Alton Towers entrance fee? (I'd assume not but you know what assumption is the mother of don't you )

Don't forget you can use your Tesco clubcard tokens, if you have them, to get a ticket in advance (£8.75 in tokens)

You mean you don't want to go onto Oblivion, where you go 50m into the sky, teeter on the edge, the plunge 90degrees down a hole in the ground??

Probably not the sort of thing that Katie should be doing!

good point well presented. (I'm so glad Katy is going and my excuse is that I am such a nice guy that I am forgoing that Oblivion pleasure just to keep her company. Honest, I mean it, no really, I promise, why do you not believe me )

Cheers Trev, I knew I could count on you to keep me company! I believe you, no, really, honest, I believe you! You do realise of course that we won't be able to go anywhere and if we do go down the pub, I can't drink!

I have to say that although I had a great time at alton towers in 2006, I had one main gripe, some of the rides I couldn't get on because the harness never clicked. This had nothing to do with my size of course, they were faulty when I sat in them, but somehow clicked and worked when others sat in them.

    I did however do Oblivion!

So I'm likely to join you guys.

I needed that hat, I woke up to snow around my tent in 2006. Totally alien concept to me
