    Large Pot of Baked Beans

While browsing through some of the old posts I suddenly realised that when Dave advised us of the price for Ecamp 2009, he did mention that "WE" will be cooking for ourselves. Now as Scout Leaders we all can survive at camp but experience tells me that some are better than others. Shall we be eating Beans on Toast for the entire camp or possibly Fillet Mignon. Do we have any Michelin Star Chefs in our midst or do we have to many volunteers to do the dishes. From memory Dave Curtis does do a mean egg!

Graham, have you seen how 'out in the sticks' the site is?!? I don't think I'll be able to waddle that far!

I don't mind doing some cooking, beats washing anyway! Maybe a cooking comp? The 3 Nations? Or is it 4, do we have anyone from Wales coming?

Oh no, what was Dave thinking?! I thought that was a key consideration when booking a campsite!

Ooh Ashbourne eh, do you work in Ashbourne? I go round Markeaton island twice a day and always consider shooting off down to Ashbourne way,.

Hiya Graham, yeah I live and work there. It's lovely, real countryside town feel. Well, it did until they built a ****** edge of town park with a homebase and halfords and 5 empty sites. Blah. Pick a nice lovely day and come for a wander.

Well I'm afraid you'll miss out on my expert bacon butty skills (60 bacon butties with 2 rashers in each cooked in 3 hours with cooking, serving and selling them all done singlehandedly by me at our recent Group booksale)

What you doing from 6.00am Whitsun bank holiday monday (May)??? lol
Of course, we also do sausage baps, breakfast baps (egg & bacon, or egg, bacon & Sausage), tea, coffee, cake and we do around 200 bacon rolls and 150 odd sausage rolls in six hours.... plus a run to the local shop when we run out!

Sorry but I think it is rather a long way from Leeds down to your neck of the woods

I remember our last family camp. 120 burgers and 240 sausages.
    Cooked on a hot plate.

At the end I think that my right arm was actually made out of grease.
